Here are Tod’s positions (in a nutshell) regarding some current issues.
UC Village Mixed Use Development
Tod continues to support this project, believing it will revitalize a key section of San Pablo Avenue, will provide needed income for the city, and will provide a resource for Seniors wishing to stay in Albany, and neighbors needing a nearby place to shop.
AT&T & Verizon Cell Phone Base Station Projects
Tod continues to support the upgrade and expansion of cell phone base stations in Albany, and supports the specific proposals from AT&T and Verizon.
Occupy the Farm
While not at all opposed to urban farming, Tod believes the Occupy the Farm action was misguided, and that OtF threatens to drown out all the others who worked hard to hammer out a compromise for the UC Development project.
Waterfront Development
Regarding Waterfront Development, Tod does not support any specific plans. It’s clear that most of the area should be open space so that the largest number of Albany (and Bay Area) residents can enjoy what is a unique resource on the Bay, but beyond that, he only believes that any plans made must actively solicit input from and be approved by the citizens of Albany.
